Bob Flannery Joins Banner Real Estate Group as New CEO

Banner Real Estate Group is pleased to announce the appointment of Bob Flannery, a long-time commercial real estate executive, as its new Chief Executive Officer. He takes over this position following the planned retirement of Banner’s most recent CEO, Kent McCreedy.

Bob will focus on leveraging the track record of success of Banner Real Estate Group and/or its affiliated entity(ies) (“Banner”) to foster growth in Banner’s established, national self-storage and multifamily platforms. Portfolio growth will come from new developments and acquisitions, along with expanding Banner’s capital partner relationships and structuring new joint-venture opportunities. Additionally, he will collaborate with Banner’s senior leadership team to ensure the firm’s people, culture, and reputation continue to be among the best in the industry while implementing Banner’s long-term strategic plan for expansion.

Co-founder and Chairman of the Board of Directors, Milt Pinsky, shared: “The Board of Directors is thrilled to have Bob take the helm at Banner. He has excellent management skills, expertise, and a successful track record in growing real estate platforms. Bob comes to Banner with nearly 30 years of experience in real estate operations and finance. Most recently, he served as Managing Director, Head of Redwood Residential and Operations for EQT Exeter, the successor firm to Redwood Capital Group, which operates the Redwood Residential business where Bob was also President. During his time with EQT Exeter/Redwood, he was active in the firm’s strategic growth initiatives and capital-raising efforts. He oversaw all operational aspects of the multifamily business, including asset and portfolio management and construction management, and improving the firm’s business operations.

Continued Growth in Charlotte, NC - Parkside at South Tryon

BPM of North Carolina, LLC, an affiliate of, and wholly owned by Banner Property Management, LLC, added a new community to its portfolio in Charlotte, NC. On August 21, 2017, Banner took ownership of Parkside at South Tryon (previously Century Parkside). This 300-unit property is minutes from Charlotte Douglas Airport and Ansley Falls Apartment Homes, another Banner-owned community. Parkside at South Tryon offers style, comfort, and convenience at a reasonable value for residents of this southwest Charlotte region. With a variety of 1-, 2-, and 3-bedroom styles ranging in size from 704 SF to 1,273 SF, the apartments come standard with a full appliance/amenity package. This includes a dishwasher, walk-in closets, washer/dryer hookups or installed machines, and central heating and cooling.
